On Tuesday new Covid Restrictions were announced by the Delhi Government, and the government has ordered to shut down all the cinema halls, spas, gyms, and multiplexes in the city.

  • Now, the Night curfew has been implemented from 10 P.M. to 05:00 AM.
  • Delhi Metro, restaurants, and bars will remain open at 50% seating capacity.
  • Social, political, cultural, religious and festival events will be totally prohibited.
  • Marriages and funerals will be allowed with only 20 persons.
  • Religious places i.e. Mosques, temples, etc, will open but the citizens will not be allowed.

Amid the fear of a third wave of COVID-19 Delhi Government’s Delhi Disaster Management Authority has imposed a night curfew from 11:00 PM to 05:00 AM. The restriction will be in use till the further orders, Omicron has once again threatened India and its citizens, if in the upcoming situation goes more worse then may gone in the another lockdown.

Delhi Disaster Management Authority has stated that only exempted individuals can visit the metro station or walkin into public transport buses during the night curfew.

Delhi’s schools and colleges were closed for a few weeks and will remain closed till the further order of Delhi Disaster Management Authority.

Since the last two day, the TPR has gone above the 0.5% which means it qualifies for Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) yellow alert.

As on 28 December 2021 the capital Delhi has 1289 active cases of COVID-19. Some individuals i.e. government officials, judges and judicial officers, medical personnel, pregnant women, patients, people going on foot to buy essential items, media persons, and people going to or returning from railway stations, bus stops, and airports are exempted from the restriction.
